Drip is dripping…💦💧 Main Character Energy!
Baby got drip… ☔
Kriish was in the shower, singing “Baby Got Drip" loudly in a tone-deaf voice… while Sreya was arranging his school outfit neatly on his bed.
As soon as she heard the word "drip," she panicked.
"Oh, the poor kid is in the shower, and water is dripping! The soap will get into his eyes!”
Translation—When the overhead water tank got empty, shower pressure reduced to a drip.
So, Sreya dashed out to start the motor, but alas! There was a power outage, and so, she started the generator and sighed with huge relief!
Unbeknownst to Sreya, the song was a blockbuster song from a K-Pop album.
Later, when Kriish came out, he continued singing the song.
Sreya was confused. She shared with him that she had started the generator when she heard the word "drip." Why was he still singing “drip, drip…"?
There was a one-second silence before Kriish started rolling on the bed, laughing.
“Mama, with all due respect, and at the risk of hurting your feelings, YOU DID WHAT NOW?!"
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
“That song is a BANGER and GOATED, Mama! I was vibing in my own zone! Did you not hear how cool I sounded? ❤️ You know that was how main character energy was defined.”
Who knew!?
Now Sreya’s head started spinning.
GOAT?! 🐐🐐
What did a goat have to do with the song? Perhaps there was one in the music video. Perhaps the goat had main character energy.
She nodded and smiled as if she understood, mentally noting that she needed to Google this ASAP.
And now back to me and my adorable son—Rishabh.

After a week of driving each other stircrazy, Rishabh, I, AND my mom (collateral damage in a war) unanimously decided to observe silence on a Sunday to conserve our energy for next week’s adventures/misadventures.
Needless to add, it felt like a divine intervention, but none of us were sure that it would work!
Sundays used to be our designated day to search for new music releases and add them to our list to be played in the car over the next whole week during our morning commute.
I was so excited because I had added the songs that he used to listen to on repeat at Hershey during the morning commute to the school on the Pandora app.
Those fuzzy warm memories were never lost. They were tucked inside a happy memory basket inside our brain.
But alas! No talking today.
So, I asked Mom if she could share the list with him via WhatsApp.
Within 5 mts, I heard the same songs being played in his room, and the door opened. He appeared, saluted in my direction, and disappeared in his room again, smiling. 🥰🌻😂🍁
