Invisible

The rain dampens my spirit,
Soaks my soul.
Its sound takes me back
To a time when I was torn.

A hollowness I cannot name,
As the wind passes by;
I yearn to leap like a frog,
Into the water that is my home,

To find solace within my heart.
I look up at the sky,
Hoping to wash away the memories
That made me weak and hollow,

I face another battle,
With hope deferred and heart aching,
As the clouds drift away,
Unfolding another dawn.

To welcome a new day
with the warmth of the blazing sun —
Erasing the part that was never mine,
Cherishing what belonged.

Like a bird, I fly in the open sky,
Leaving behind the miseries
That once drowned me deep
And wiped me out utterly.

Thank you for reading ‘Invisible’.

Some battles remain invisible to the world, yet leave their deepest marks within us. Perhaps healing begins when we learn what to let go of and what to carry forward.
