Glamping domes for dining in Bucharest
What’s in a name if the food is good?
How many names can you get for the same thing?
Igloo dining, glamping dome, transparent gazebo, glass igloo, dining pod, casa de cupola, geodesic glass dome. These are just a few of the names for these street-dining shelters. It must be a marketing nightmare. A parasol is a parasol; you might even call it an umbrella.
Imagine the conversation.
“Look! That restaurant has these thingamies.”
“They’re called igloos.”

“No, they aren’t. They’re glamping domes.”
“Glamping domes are for putting in your back yard.”
“They look a bit sweaty inside. Do you have to share it with other people?”
“No thanks. What if somebody smokes?”
“I’m looking at the menu on my phone.”
“What are their pizzas like?”
“They just do Sushi and stuff.”
“Stuff the Sushi. I want a pizza.”
