a poem
take me back to the rainy day,
of last year's february
to the time we spent together,
to the last six on our pitch
take me back to that december,
when i rested on your shoulder,
all the way back home,
when for the last time we laughed together
take me back to last decade,
when we all were just kids,
no hate, no distance,
no expectations, no competition
take me back to 2013,
and let's fight for TV remote again,
let's come back home laughing,
let's run back home giggling
take me back to when i was five,
i want to sleep on couch
and wake up in the morning on bed,
just once, once again
take me back to when i was just eight,
when we came back home from school
with all your friends
and when i was the youngest one
take me back to when i turned ten,
when we all waited for the clock
to hit eight,
sitting on the couch, laughing on nothing

take me back to those three years,
i might fix everything between you two,
and i said i need you two together,
but you didn't care, you left
take me back to when we were fourteen,
when we laughed like dolphins,
and i swear i never laughed with anyone
ever again, till today
take me back to that time,
when you wrapped your arm around my back,
never touched by anyone
the way you used to do
take me back to when you were alright,
when nothing was wrong in your life,
no physical pain, no emotional glitch
and let’s dance again like eight years back
take me back to those five years with you,
i didn’t know i’d miss you
with this intense flame in my heart
but have you ever thought of me?
take me back to everything i lost,
i wanna romanticise everything
and i swear that my throat sinks
everytime i think about you
take me back to past,
no interest left in fixing it anymore,
but wanna live it again
cuz it hurts to remember all the good times
nostalgia hitting me on sunday’s noon.
