Struggling With Codeforces’ UI? There’s a Free Extension That Fixes It
If you’ve ever solved a Codeforces problem, you know the drill: read the statement in one tab, open a second tab for your editor, a third to run test cases, maybe a fourth for notes, and a fifth to check the problem’s difficulty or tags. By the time you’re actually solving anything, you’ve already burned a few minutes just navigating.
Leetify for Codeforces is a free Chrome extension built to fix exactly that. It doesn’t try to replace Codeforces — it just wraps a better workflow around it.
What It Actually Does
Leetify turns the Codeforces problem page into a single, focused workspace instead of a scattered set of tabs. Once installed, it reshapes any problem page automatically. No configuration needed.
Here’s what you get:
- Split-pane workspace — the problem statement and a code editor sit side by side, with resizable panels.
- VS Code–style editor — syntax highlighting, line numbers, active-line highlighting, and the shortcuts you already know.
- Built-in testcase panel — run sample tests (and add your own custom ones) without scrolling up and down the page.
- One-click submission — submit straight from the editor pane, no tab switching.
- Difficulty ratings & topic tags — shown clearly and color-coded across problem lists, not just individual pages.
- Notes for every problem — jot down mistakes, tricks, editorial takeaways, DP transitions, graph patterns, etc., attached directly to that problem. All notes are collected into a searchable personal notebook, with pinning and tag filters.
- Practice analytics — solve streaks, a GitHub-style activity heatmap, rating trends, topic-depth breakdowns, and a rough read on “readiness” for your next rating band.
- Smarter language selector — your commonly used compilers pinned to the top.
- Dark mode — built for late-night contest grinding.
- Works across the whole site — problemset, contests, gym, and mashups.
Why It’s Worth Mentioning
A lot of competitive programmers genuinely like Codeforces’ classic, lightweight interface — and Leetify’s creator has said explicitly that the goal isn’t to change Codeforces, just to cut down on the tab-juggling around it. You can toggle between the original and the enhanced view, so it’s an opt-in improvement rather than a takeover.

It’s also still early — recent version was v0.1.5 at time of writing — and being actively shaped by community feedback on the extension’s Codeforces blog posts. If you’ve got opinions on what’s missing, the developer seems to genuinely be listening.
Try It
- Chrome Web Store: search “Leetify for Codeforces” or install it directly from the extension page.
- Demo/website: leetify-dun.vercel.app
- Free, no account required.
If you spend a lot of time on Codeforces and the constant tab-switching bugs you, it’s worth two minutes to try out.
