Beyond CLAUDE.md: The 4 Files Anthropic Uses to Build an AI-Native SDLC
A practical guide to the AI-native software development lifecycle, with grill-me, Superpowers and one real feature I ran through it.

Most of us try to fix that with CLAUDE.md. It tells Claude how the project works. It doesn’t tell Claude what you want to build, or how to check it got there.
Anthropic’s answer is a playbook on how its own teams build software with Claude: the AI-native software development lifecycle. It covers each step, from planning to testing to review, and every step leaves something behind that the next one reads. For a single feature, it comes down to four files: intent.md, spec.md, plan.md and REVIEW.md.
I tested it on a real feature in the tool I use for research. It’s two small Python scripts. One runs on a schedule and collects posts from AI builders into an archive. The other, window.py…
