M.Des. in XR Design at IIT Jodhpur | An Experience per Annum
A year has gone by in the realm of a masters degree in XR Design at IIT Jodhpur, and I have started my third semester. I thought it was an almost apt time to document the past academic year with gigantic dollops of almost completely honest personal reflection. To give this documentation an initial direction I’ll trot upon (in my opinion) frequently pondered topics and aspects in this area of conversation regarding IITs: perceptions and reality, Masters, and its logistics.

IIT and Jodhpur
The IIT campus is about a good 40+ minute drive from the station, and slightly difficult to commute after the sun sets except for college buses. Jodhpur is its own city, connected by trains, buses, and airplanes, the blue city has its identity but doesn’t shout it out. It has its little markets, tangy kachoris, and thick lassi. You’ll find global brands as well as ancient shops, small galis, old houses, and long roads. It is in its own space, connected but unhitched.
