Just a few terms in case you do not know biker slang and in case you haven't read any of the other Hell on Wheels stories.
1) A cut-the-leather vest that they wear displays their decal and the state in which they are located.
2) A hang around is someone who hangs around some of the bikers.
3) A hang around then becomes a prospect once he's vouched for by another club member. Once the prospect is voted on, they become a member.
4) Church is a term that they use to call their club meeting.
5) The term 1% supposedly came from people or police. They would say there's nothing to worry about the motorcycle club because they're all pretty much cool except about one percent. So say you murder someone for the club... You then earn your 1% patch or tattoo that is displayed inside a diamond. If these 1 percenters belong to certain clubs, then it's considered a 1 percenters club.
