The Day I Asked My Pen to Make Me a Bird
A story born from an evening coffee, a deep breath, and a desperate need to escape the noise.
Holding a warm cup of evening coffee,
I looked up at the sky and took a long, deep breath.
That’s when I saw a beautiful bird flying in the distance –
so small,
yet so completely free.
In that exact moment, I wanted to be a bird too.
So I turned to my diary and my pen,
and asked them for a little help to turn me into one.
The words below are the result of our little conspiracy.
I want to fly.
But I don’t have wings.
So, just for a moment,
I’ll just be a bird.
I’m going to throw myself into the sky and just go.
I won’t care how far it is,
I won’t look back.
And right then,
I’ll take all this heavy weight sitting on my chest
and just fling it away into the empty air.
You walked away and left me.
