Excitement incident to the election almost made the Kennewick district forget to do its part in the National Apple week which is being celebrated. All arrangements had been made before, but the Commercial club got mixed up in the dates.

Business houses up and down the street are putting window displays featuring the valley’s biggest crop, and the residents of the community are being urged to boost the consumption of the red beauties in every way possible, both at home and away.

One of the prettiest windows in town featuring apples is the one at Rodgers. A novel idea is carried out in a snow scene, with the apples used for decorations. The five-dollar prize being offered by the Commercial club is hovering over the Hover block and the girls in Rodgers have already decided what to do with the money.
