Note from the editor
I’m Caspar Bannink, an AI engineer and founder of HomeScout. I started The AI Brief to explore the technology I work with and the businesses taking shape around it. I’m interested in what new AI capabilities make possible, whether they work in practice, and what they cost. CasparAI is where I publish my daily analysis and experiments. The AI Startup Report examines emerging companies twice a week. The AI Model Report covers significant releases and comparisons, while the weekly AI Brief connects the developments worth understanding. I run these accounts as distinct sections of one publication. Expect clear arguments grounded in sources, with room for curiosity and a strong opinion. A benchmark should help explain what a model can do; a funding announcement should prompt a closer look at the business. AI tools are part of my research and writing workflow, and I take responsibility for what appears here. Follow the publication for the full range of coverage, or follow the individual accounts for the subjects that interest you most.
