Don’t know if he be coming back,
Don’t know if it’s worth the pain,
Don’t know if you’ll see him again,
Don’t know where the story ends.

Don’t know how long your pain gonna last,
Don’t know how to ease your heart,
Don’t know when those tears will stop,
Don’t know, honey, where to start.

All I know is you’re still here,
All I know is life goes on,
All I know your heart will mend,
Even when this love be gone.

All I know is morn will break,
Even after the darkest night,
Don’t have to know tomorrow, honey
Just hold my hand tonight.

Don’t know how to ease the ache,
Don’t know how long you’ll cry,
Don’t know when I’ll see you smile,
Don’t know the how or why.

Don’t know when the rain will stop,
Don’t know what the years will bring,
Don’t know when you’ll laugh again,
Don’t know when your heart will sing.
