Note from the editor

Remember that record that changed your life? Imagine a publication full of them. That's us. We are Medium's premier music publication, and we'd love to have you here with us. Yes, we write about music. From future classics, to forgotten gems, our writers share their thoughts, memories, insights, and experience. But we're so much more than that; you can also find practical tips on everything from beginning a career in music journalism to how to start playing an instrument later in life. Join us for thought-provoking essays, practical advice, and plenty of good records. Our collective love for music shines through in every article. You'll come away from every visit with fresh insight, valuable takeaways, and hopefully a new favorite song (or two). At The Riff, the record is never done. There's always another side waiting to be played.
