snip-ocr

Snip OCR.

A tray application for snipping screen and extracting text value from it to the clipboard, using Tesseract.
The app doesn't have graphical notifications or sound effects on snipping at the moment.
After you release the ctrl, the extracted text is already in your clipboard.

Installation:

Windows:
Copy snip-ocr folder to C:/Program Files/ or other direction.
Launch snip-ocr.exe

Or

Compile from src with make or mingw32-make (requires gnuwin make or msys32-make)

Usage:

Right-click Snip OCR tray and press Take Snip
Start snipping by holding ctrl
3 seconds after you release the button you will see an alert
