Is What Will Smith Feels For Jada Really "Love?"

My sister-in-law shared the following video in our groupchat today.

The video sparked a lenghthy conversation. I will paste my side of the conversation into this article below:

I agree with this.

I’m a fan of both Will and Jada til tomorrow.

They haven’t done anything that us regular people don’t go through from time to time.

Jada specifically (because that’s the point of the video) should not be nearly as villainized as she is.

The degree to which they demonize and dehumanize Black women makes it impossible to deal with actual issues we face.

Her relationship with August Alsina was a questionable choice. I think she made that bad decision, because of the circumstances she was under. She’s basically in a guilded cage.

But I can’t talk seriously about what’s even wrong with the August Alsina relationship, because it gives undue amo to people who want to hate on her (and low-key Black women) just to humble them.
