Time’s Justice
How time eventually sees through every harsh truth and every moral reality
Time seems to be the wisest judge on the earth. It does punish the wrong and rewards the right, and most importantly, it reveals the truth: the real character, the unforeseen consequences, and the cost of choices.
Often I feel that justice is long absent in many places around me, and around the world, and there it feels incomplete like a wound left without a bandage.
I know individuals who hurt another, avoid accountability, and continue as though nothing has happened. In that moment, I feel like I want time to expose the evil, uncover dark mind people, and I really pray hard that time takes such a turn that those who have done wrong to others eventually face the consequences of their own choices.
Sometimes we spend our whole lives hoping that justice will come later, somewhere beyond this life, in another world before a higher court. Most of us believe that earthly justice may fail, but divine justice is sure to hold everyone accountable for whatever good or bad they did, and judge fairly.
Divine justice however may remain a matter of faith. Time is something we all live through. It has been given the power, possibly by divine justice, to judge patiently allowing every choice to reveal its costs.
