Sirens never took sailors by force,
they lured them in with their
beautiful, melodious
songs.

She sings me toward the sea
Away from the corals cascading
As the shore laps balmily
And the sunlight lazily fading

Corals woven into her hair
Seaweeds entwined at her legs
Eyes black without a care
To be her, a flower only begs

A throne of filthy corpse
Men, with their dirt ridden bodies
In her lieu, time warps
In her lieu, the air is gaudy

Why then, am I so enchanted
By this body so heavenly
Why then, have I been granted
When I myself am slovenly

I am not worth this goddess
Yet she is I and I am she
I look at her raw, in my eyes no fondness
And then she is all I crave, all I want to be

The truth is, weary traveller
She is more than beauty
She is death embodied, for she is a killer
That is all she knows, that is all her duty

You may call her a high, you may call her mania
But all she is, is a seductress
She is a child-eating monster, a lamia
And in her wake, she is an empress

She wears your skin like icy silk
She becomes you for days yet anon
She is my undoing she is my ilk
Over her, I will forever fawn

I know she is my demise
I know for I foresee my end
I do all but wail with my cries
I alone will have to fend

Yet
I
am
seduced
