There are over 100 species of dottybacks, but you can catch and care for 9 of them in ZAWA: Evolved. They're small but colorful marine fish that live in warm Indo-Pacific reefs. Like gramma, they are ferociously territorial, and even the smallest dottybacks will pick a fight with fish three times their size. Just like in real life, dottybacks will spawn in warm ocean reefs.

There are 9 species of dottyback represented in ZAWA Evolved: blue-striped dottyback, neon dottyback, orchid dottyback, royal dottyback, slender dottyback, splendid dottyback, striped dottyback, sunrise dottyback, and the surge dottyback.
