Player reach Techlevel 2
The next step to your first settlement is Techlevel 2.
You reached Tech 1 and now you must fullfill the requirements for Tech 2 to get the permission to founding a settlement. Yes, you are right, you must build the buildings you get the permissions for with tech 1:
- CARPENTER
- HALL
The carpenter is quite simple as the before created buildings. But its necessary for get enough workplaces and resources for your settlement. so, create a CARPENTER building.
The HALL building is more complex, because you need some new blocks, the BOOKSHELF. So you must handle to get paper and books. Additional you need many signs to place them in the HALL as information center for your settlement.
Also you need some more reagents. In this case iron_ingot.
Remember that you create your buildings inside of the new founding HAMLET settlement.
When you build the HALL and the other required buildings , you can found a HAMLET. There for you must stay at the center of your HAMLET cube. There are nothing build or set at this point. Its a unvisible point. So stay and use the command 👍
/settle FOUNDING HAMLET MyFirstSettlement
Hint: Settlement name must unique and not include any spaces. The names are caseSensiTive.
Congratulation ! When you have enough money, the settlement will founded and you are the owner. The new settlers are arive in the HOMEs. The settlers now work at the worplaces you create and produce blocks and items. They need money to buy food and they are very loyal, until they starve. So , always have enough food in the warehouse of the HALL.
Remember you are now the owner of the settlement. Only YOU can break and set blocks inside the settlement borders. You have acces to every building , except the HOME. You are not automatically the owner of the home buildings. When you create the you are the owner and this will not change until anyone else acquire the building.
Hint : Other players can also create buildings inside the settlement area , until the settlement is foundet. The other players still be the owners of their created buildings. Also in the new settlement. You have no acces to this buildings !
When you want to control and managing your settlement you need many information about the different aspects of the settlement. Therefor you can install sign in the HALL.
- sign [INFO] , show the global informations and can be used by anyone.
- sign [BUILDINGS] , show the list of created or installed buildings in the settlement.
- sign [WAREHOUSE] , show the inventory of the settlement, sorted by blockname
- sign [TRADER] , show the activitys of trader npc , with buy, sell and transport
- sign [MARKET] , show the global offer for blocks, the trader buy from this list
- sign [PRODUCTION] , show the produce blocks of the items , last cycle, month cycle and storage
For player trading you can set the shop signs
- sign [BUY] , for buy from other players
- sign [SELL] , for sell raw materials to other players
- sign [SELL] Material , for sell not raw materials to other players
For interaction of the settlement with players , include your self
- sign [DONATE] , open a shop. All items you place in the shop will donate to the settlement and give you reputation
- sign [REPUTATION], show the details of reputation of the player to this settlement. Hint: Every settlement has a individual reputation memory.
Interact of players with the settlement
- sign [ACQUIRE] , When you are the owner of a HOME, you can set a sign [ACQUIRE] , to give other players the ability to buy the house for their own use. The owner get the money. A player who acquire a home in a settlement is automatically a member of the settlement. Each Owner or Member can break and set blocks in the area of the settlement ! A single player can be the member in many settlements. The buyer need a reputation above 50 for acquire a HOME in a settlement.
What are the benefit of a settlement ?
- You save in the settlement area, no player can hurt you
- remember mobs can do !
- no mobs will spawn inside of the settlement area
- you have access to the bank of the settlement and can deposit or withdraw money
- you have acces to the warehose of the settlement and can deposit or withdraw blocks
- the npc will work in the workplaces and produce blocks, items and money, 6 days a week
- the basic buildings produce some extra blocks in the center chest
- remember the npc also work , when you are not online
- the chest of in the settlement are only accessible to the owner
- no one can break or set blocks, open doors or chest, set fire, lava or water
- remember members of your settlement can do !
