concept of settlement
Concept of settlements
A settlement can be built in different ways: The colonist, builds a complete settlement. The colonist can only created by the Admin. Normally a colonist is an NPC activity. The player builds the minimum necessary for building a settlement and founding a settlement.
In both cases automatically settlers are recruited and settled in the houses. There are 5 managers who live in the HALL and work.
The settlements are divided into the following sizes:
- HAMLET, the smallest settlement with a radius of 40 blocks. Is built by a colonist or can be relatively easily by a player built.
- TOWN, a small settlement with a radius of 70 blocks. Needs specific building and requires a higher TechLevel by the player
- CITY, a typical town with a radius of 100 blocks.
- METROPOLIS, the largest settlement type with a radius of 200 blocks. This is very expensive and complex.
To establish minimal expansion of a settlement (HAMLET):
- HALL 1x
- HOME 4x
- WHEAT 2x
- WOOD CUTTER 1x
- QUARRY 1x
In this configuration, a HAMLET be established. This is the minimum. Experience shows, however, that such a settlement is not viable.
It is not enough work for the settlers there and they will eventually starve. The player can support them, but when he does this, he has little time for anything else. And alas he does not come often enough in the settlement! A real day corresponds to 30 in-game days. Since it is not usually 24 hours a day online, there is a great danger that the NPC will not survive.
So it is necessary to provide enough Workplace that promote development. Basically, the production should be developed that have a positive factor in the biomes.
/ Settle BIOME [settleID] {page} , With this command you can read the factors of production of the settlement.
A good choice for a settlement in the Biome is PLAINS:
- WHEAT 1x additional
- BAKERY 1x
- CARPENTER 1x
