####settlement specialization
The place inside the settlements are limited. You can setup your buildings outside of the settlement area but then you have a reduced prtection. Only the protection of the building self.
You can upgrade your HAMLET to TOWN or CITY type, but this need many manual action of the admin, because there is no automatic evolve at this time in the realms plugin.
Or you give your basic settlements a special layout that use the benefits they get from the biome.
On the test server i use the three following biome types to setup special settlelments
- PLAIN , for a food production , agriculture
- FOREST , for wood production and later needed coal production
- MOUNTAIN , for mining production
Hint: It is not import which real biome you select. The plugin scan the real biomename for the phrase inside the name.
The PLAIN settlement , has a large benefit in food production. therefor ist can suplly the other 2 settlements in food production. With a large amount of wheat production you can have COWSHED to produce leather. That is needed for military units. But it need for the FARMHOUSE a constant supply of WOOD_HOE. Also here can be setup a SHEPHERD for WOOL production.
The FOREST settlement , has a large benefit in LOG production. This is necessary for many different materials and items. Like :
- WOOD, STICK, DOOR, CHEST
- COAL
- WOOD_HOE, WOOD_PICKAXE, WOOD_SWORD
The MOUNTAIN settlemt , has a large benifit in produce mining resources. This is necessary for advanced material and military units. Like:
- FLINT
- COAL
- IRON_INGOT
